According to consumer magazine Saldo, one in nine Swiss citizens claim to have been the victim of a medical error over the past two years. Over 1,300 people were asked whether they had received the wrong treatment, medication or dosage, with 11.4% claiming they had. Data from 20,000 people in 11 countries puts Switzerland’s health service somewhere between the middle and bottom of a new ranking system. Great Britain had the lowest error rate and Norway had the highest according to the survey.
